Extractions

Tooth extractions are needed for many reasons; however, most often, a tooth is removed because it has succumbed to extensive cavities or gum disease.

Typically, if 1 or 2 teeth need to be extracted, the procedure is performed with local anesthesia (numbing); however, if multiple teeth need to be extracted or if you are very anxious about the procedure, sedation options are available.

Following a tooth extraction, the majority of patients return to their normal daily routine the next day.
